Festive Party Dressing . . .

So it's been a difficult year and things don't seem to be going back to normal as much as we would have all liked. Although things are tough, hopefully we can all look forward to some Christmas cheer with our families, colleagues and friends before the year ends.

On that note, Christmas dressing. Now we have all been in our comfys for a while now, occasionally branching out into the other half of our wardrobes, if we are going into the office or meeting friends. Christmas is a time to have some fun with our looks and add a little joy. I've had a little look and found a couple of good pieces that I wanted to share.

For monochrome fans, you can't get more elegant then this strappy sequin midi dress from & Other Stories

£135

If you like a colour pop and something you can style multiple ways, why not try this organza frill dress from Monki. Due to its sheer factor you can style over a shift dress, cool pants and top or bralet and thick tights if you want to be more daring.

£35

Statement top to throw over your favourite pair of trousers, say hello to this little number from Anthropologie. Available in two colours gold and pink, my personal fav is the gold however.

£80

Showstopper jumpsuit with chiffon cape, look no further then Ro&Zo Chiffon Cape Jumpsuit available at John Lewis. I love the front pleated details then the drama of the chiffon draped around the shoulders.

£89

For those who can pull off a crop top, this great price point H&M crop top will certainly add a statement to any look!

£19.99

For ladies that like pink, what about this lace midi tea dress from M&S x Ghost, I know probably for 25+ ladies but this is a sophisticated silhouette with a colour pop that will set you apart this Christmas.

£89

Statement tux from Scotch & Soda, night blue velvet with gold suns. I have a bigger bust so not quite sure I could carry this off but its a wonderful piece for people that like tailoring, it can be paired up or down and can be separated to add a little extra lux touch to your day to night looks.

Blazer £240 / Trousers £150

Someone I have followed for a while and am overjoyed to see she is getting the recognition she deserves Mary Benson. Her Celeste Velvet Dress is becoming iconic, cut from velvet cotton and adorned with celestial glitter and elegant ruffles. This piece is made to order so you can cherish it forever, Mary even designs with flexible side seams so you can have the dress altered should you ever need too.

£495

Dream me would love to be able to splurge on a dress like the below from The Vampires Wife, stunning, gorgeous you can't get any better than the flattering silhouette of The Falconetti Dress.

£1,595

Talk about New Year outfits, I love the below dress from ASOS Design, I would totally buy it especially in the Black Friday Weekend sales but sadly its no longer in my size, gutted.

£100

Sweater Vests . . .

Sleeveless vests, must have item or questionable fashion statement, the great debate of AW20.

Now every store seems to be stocking this trend and every influencer seems to be showing us how to style it, so I've rounded up some of my favourites.

Bermuda Shorts . . .

Bermuda shorts, while I can't see myself running out to buy a pair of these for the summer, you have to admit for the suit wearers among us this is a practical update for our summer wardrobes. Smart, practical and in just the perfect shade to match that oversized blazer you have been eyeing up.

We have seen a number of these pieces styled up on the catwalk from ChloƩ, Alberta Ferretti and even in MaxMara SS20 campaign. Whether you prefer a safe pair or go the MaxMara route and go all pastel here are a few good suggestions for you.

Spot On . . .

Is there anything as fashionable as a Polka Dot spot?

A style that always pops up on the trend radar, whether you are a Minnie Mouse fan or are just partial to an itsy bitsy, teenie weenie yellow polka-dot bikini, the polka dot trend lasts the test of time.

We picked up on the trend during the SS20 catwalks with designers such as Gucci giving it a vintage feel through premium woven textiles.

Dries Van Noten also gave a spot on interpretation of the humble dot on its catwalk.

An easy print to incorporate to even the most minimal wardrobe here are my top picks to buy right now.
